P.S. 361 Q is proud to announce that we now have a new Beacon Afterschool program!  We have partnered with Woodside on the Move, LLC to launch this new program for our students in Grades K-3.

The Woodside on the Move Beacon program seeks to advance educational opportunities within the community.  Beacon programs are school-based community centers serving children age six and older, and adults. Beacon Programs operate in the afternoons and evenings, on weekends, and during school holidays and vacation periods, including the summer.

Woodside of the Move Beacon Afternoon Program Hours:

Our P.S. 361 Q Beacon Afterschool program operates Monday-Friday from 2:40 PM-5:30 PM for students in Grades K, 1 & 2.  If you are interested in applying for the Woodside on the Move after school program, please contact Carmen Rodriguez, Beacon Program Director for more information. Woodside on the Move staff are available from 10:00 AM-6:00 PM.

Woodside of the Move Beacon Evening Program Hours:

    6pm – 9pm for Middle School/High School Participants  Monday-Friday

     6pm – 9pm Adults  Monday-Friday

Applying to Woodside on the Move Afterschool Program 2018-2019:

This week from Monday August 27- September 4th, 2018 Afterschool applications for the 2018-2019 school year can be picked up/ dropped off between the hours of 10am-6pm.

Some general information regarding applications, Woodside on the Move only accepts application in their entirety. Applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis. We do not reserve spots under any circumstances as this program is open to the entire Woodside community.

Per program guidelines participants are required to attend a minimum 3 days per week. Program will operate Monday-Friday from 2:30pm-5:30pm

Required documents:

  • Birth Certificate or Passport

  • Completed DYCD Beacon Application

  • Completed/ Valid Medical form

  • 2x2 passport size photo of applicant
